Our therapy process

Here’s how we empower parents to help their kids thrive:

Path 309.png

Behavioral issues

Whether your child is biting, hitting, arguing, or pushing back against the rules, we can help! Our trained clinicians address the ROOT CAUSE of why that behavior is happening instead of quickly diagnosing and treating the behavior.

Anxiety and depression

Anxiety and depression manifest in many ways in a child’s body. Behaviors such as self-harm and shyness can be attempts to cope with an unbalanced nervous system. We can resolve these behaviors by strengthening the mind-body connection.

Sensory and eating challenges

Sensory processing (how children experience touch, sound, and other senses) is fundamental to a child’s mental health. When properly addressed and supported, therapy can help target challenging behaviors and improve overall well-being.

Trauma and transitions

Whether your child experienced a traumatic event or is having a difficult time with a transition, our therapists are here to help! Therapy helps children integrate memories, which supports brain health and can prevent future symptoms such as anxiety.

Become a sturdy parent

Parents, we get it. You’re worried about your child's behaviors, but deeper down, you’re worried they won't be okay — and that your parenting has failed them.

Hear us loud and clear: you're doing a good job, and your child will be okay. Our definition of "okay" is a child with self-confidence who understands and communicates their needs.

To get there, we help you find solid ground first. When you're regulated, you can help your child do the same. The result? A sturdy parent and a child who feels safe to be in their body and take their next best step.

joy.

You’ve tried enough parenting strategies on your own. We want you to free up mental space to truly enjoy your child, just as they are. Our team of child development experts can’t wait to listen and support you and your family.

  • A typical session lasts 50 minutes. If additional time is needed, your therapist may recommend a longer session, up to 90 minutes.

  • We require weekly sessions for at least several months. Why? We care about your success in therapy, and we want you and your child to get the most out of your commitment! We know from research that weekly sessions lead to better therapy outcomes due to increased momentum and stronger therapist-client relationship. Consistency = long-term success.

  • Because every client we work with has unique needs and goals, the length of therapy varies person to person! Some factors we take into consideration when thinking about therapy length is how long the symptoms have been present, family dynamics, and how quickly the client responds to interventions. Your assigned therapist will provide you with an estimated length of therapy once they complete the initial assessment.

  • After completing your meeting with our client coordinator, you are paired with a therapist that will best fit your child’s needs and who matches your availability for sessions.

  • Every child can benefit from having a safe space to explore their emotions and build confidence. Research shows that early support leads to better outcomes — helping children develop emotional awareness and coping skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Whether your child is experiencing daily challenges or occasional struggles, our expert therapists help them develop tools to manage emotions and build resilience.

  • We specialize in working with children ages 2-18, tailoring our approach to each child's developmental stage and individual needs. Our playful, engaging methods help even our youngest clients feel comfortable and understood.

  • We believe parents are key to lasting positive change. We start with a 90-minute parent meeting to understand your concerns and create a clear path forward. While your child attends regular sessions, we keep you actively involved through regular check-ins (1-3 times monthly) to ensure progress extends to home and school. This collaborative approach helps strengthen your parent-child connection while giving your child space to grow.

  • We do not accept insurance, but you can still use your insurance, depending on your benefits for out-of-network providers. You will receive a monthly statement via email called a Superbill that you can forward to your insurance company to receive reimbursement. This Superbill contains all of the required details your insurance company needs in order to make a decision regarding reimbursement amount. Please contact your insurance provider for more information.

  • It’s ok to be hesitant about therapy. We get it! If you have reservations about this process, it’s important to bring them up with your therapist. We take pride in our unique and modern approach to therapy. We go beyond traditional talk therapy and work with you to understand the root cause of your child’s challenges. While we cannot guarantee results, our approach is oftentimes a refreshing and new take on what’s off in your child’s mind and body and what you can do differently moving forward.

  • Yes! We have clinicians who can provide a range of developmental assessments. Please speak to our client coordinator for more information at (424) 268-2762.
